NEW PUBLICATION. Dr. Sniezek recently published a chapter entitled A Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Perspective on Catastrophic Injuries. It appears in THE CATASTROPHIC INJURY HANDBOOK and is available through the American Board of Disability Analysts at americanbd@aol.com or by Fax at (605) 327-9235.
TOP DOCTORS
Dr. Sniezek has been ranked among the "Top Doctors" by Washingtonian Magazine for over 15 years consecutively.
MEDICAL ACUPUNCTURE. Dr. Sniezek completed a 9-month course in medical acupuncture through the Harvard Medical School Postgraduate Program. Dr. Sniezek has been practicing acupuncture since 1979 and has now completed both the UCLA (1995) and Harvard (2007) Medical School Acupuncture Programs.
FELLOWSHIP STATUS. Dr. Sniezek has attained FELLOWSHIP STATUS by the American Institute for Healthcare Quality and American Academy of Medical Acupuncture.
ACUPUNCTURE ONCOLOGY. Medical acupuncture has shown to be an effective treatment for many of the symptoms of cancer as well as the side effects of traditional medical treatment (chemotherapy and radiation therapy). HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL POSTGRAD PROGRAM. Dr. Sniezek is a Life-Time Member of the Postgraduate Medicine Program at the Harvard Medical School where he recently participated in and completed postgraduate courses in Rheumatologic conditions, Diabetes, and Natural Remedies for Common Neurologic Disorders.
OSTEOPATHIC MANIPULATION. Dr. Sniezek was a participant in a conference at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Boston. The conference involved teaching medical residents and attending physicians osteopathic manipulation. Dr. Sniezek continues to utilize traditional osteopathic and chiropractic methods for treatment of biomechanical aberrations of the spine and extremities.
SPORTS MEDICINE. Dr. Sniezek has recently completed an advanced course in Medical Acupuncture in Sports Medicine through UCLA School of Medicine. In additional to his Pain and Rehabilitation practice, Dr. Sniezek presently treats neurologic, musculoskeletal, neck, and lower back injuries from sports or work related injuries.
PAIN MANAGEMENT. Dr. Sniezek participated in an advanced conference in Philadelphia pertaining to current treatment of narcotic drug abuse. Part of the agenda was to outline and disseminate a new protocol and review new medications being approved by the FDA for use this year.
